Librarians are noted for being introverts. Could this be
why they don't have enough "trust" in their ability to
implement social technology?

Librarians as introverts: you'll get a giggle (good kind) from posts on thing 20 and 21 of 23 cats blog in the NCLC blog roll. In reading many other 23 things blogs, I've noticed that library people do seem to be very private people. Only a few have revealed much about their identity. And I'd have to confess I'm one of them too. Hopefully we'll get more comfortable with these tools and will use them despite our tendency to want to remain unobtrusive.
